On Saturday, December 19th, 2020 the #EatLearnPlay team was joined alongside our co-founders, Stephen and Ayesha Curry as we held the 8th Annual #ChristmasWithTheCurrys Holiday food and gift distribution in the safest manner possible.
We welcomed 1,000 deserving Oakland families to the Coliseum parking lot, alongside our amazing partners, donors, and volunteers, for a drive thru style resource fair. We provided each family with $250 gift cards, as well as groceries, restaurant meals, fresh produce, books, and boxes full of incredible gifts including clothes, masks, and games provided by the support and generosity of our great partners and donors.
#ChristmasWithTheCurrys was also a success thanks to our committed team of volunteers, donors, and partners. Without their support, patience, and generosity, we would not have been able to put together this magical holiday giveaway and provide assistance to Oakland kids and families this holiday season. We are glad our efforts brought smiles to everyone in attendance!
We’ve worked tirelessly during this challenging year to support all Oakland families, and we’re committed to providing them with the food and resources they need to get through this holiday season and beyond.
#EatLearnPlay worked in lockstep with the Alameda County Health Care Services Agency along with our city partners from the very beginning to ensure we are abiding by all of the COVID-19 health regulations. #HappyHolidays
